Troop 316 Memorial Day Projects

Boy Scout Troop 316, along with Cub Pack and Venturing Crews were very busy over the memorial day week end.  The three scouting units placed flags on the graves of veterans on Saturday.  On Sunday most of the scouts participated in the Dupont VFW parade and ceremony. For the first time a few of the older scouts were asked to assist the Avoca VFW in color guard duty for 4 separate ceremonies.  Pictured above are Tyler Sepcoski, Chris Gunshore and Mat Gromala with the Avoca VFW Color Guard.  It was an honor the boys hope will occur next year as well. The weekend started very cold at a Friday night Rail Rider game but heated up by Monday when Scout Master Matt was ready for a pic-nic.
