Today Pope Francis has asked that all Catholics pray for vocations, especially to the priesthood and religious life.

* pray for the Bishops, priests, religious sisters and brothers who have ministered to you throughout your life, both living and dead.

* encourage your children and grandchildren to consider a vocation as a priest, religious sister or brother especially if they have the gifts needed to serve our Church.

* pray the Rosary or some form of prayer for the many young  men and women from our Diocese who are currently in the seminary and in formation with a religious community. We pray too for those God is calling at this time to have the courage to respond generously. 

 I'm also happy to announce that Bishop Bambera will ordain Mark DeCelles to the Diaconate on Saturday, May 23rd.  Rev. Mr. Jonathan Kuhar, Rev. Mr. Kevin Miller and Rev. Mr. Shawn Simchock will be ordained priests on Saturday June 27th.  Please keep them  in your prayer and look for information regarding the Ordinations which will be televised live from St. Peter's Cathedral.
